About Soroptimist International
Soroptimist International (SI) is a world wide organisation for women in management and the professions working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women

SI works at all levels of civil society, local, national and international, and are involved with a wide spectrum of women's concerns. We work in partnership with other Non Government Organisations (NGOs) and authorities for positive social and economic changes that improve the lives of women, children and families.
UN Economic and Social Council
SI has General Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council, giving us the opportunity to make statements and to discuss global issues. SI representatives participate in general meetings, sit on committees and provide Soroptimist information and opinions based upon the "Where We Stand" and the international database of Soroptimist Club Programme Focus Reports. SI also sends delegations to major NGO forums, particularly those relating to women's issues.

Soroptimist International of the South West Pacific (SISWP)
SI consists of four Federations, each of which has its own administrative and leadership structure. The four Federations are:
New Zealand is in SI South West Pacific (SISWP) Federation, which includes 13 countries in the Asia Pacific Region, from Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands and Thailand.
