Club Committees

We have lots going on in our club, and our members have a wide range of interests. So we have created several small groups that help us focus on doing the best we can to support women and girls all over the world.

Women's Advisory Group (WAGs)

WAGs keep abreast of international matters at the United Nations (UN), the Commission of the Status of Women  (CSW) and Soroptimist International activity and research relating to women's issues. WAGs also link with the New Zealand's National Council of Women (NCW) and the International Women's Caucus (via Ministry for Women) and other NZ Women's Groups to empower all women and girls to achieve their potential.

Fundraising Action Group (FAGs)

Community Action Group (CAGs)

CAGs champion our advocacy action on local and community matters, e.g. letter writing, petitions, service activities, rallies and meetings - anything that makes a difference and gets our voices heard!

Membership Action Group (MAGs)

FAGs generate the ideas that raise funds so we can support our local, national and international projects. They also support members to arrange fundraising events and help make our fundraisers fun & fabulous!

MAGs support all members to learn about SI, and attract other wonderful women to join us.
They look after our club's internal workings, including meeting arrangements, publicity  and speakers.

Social and Hospitality Action Group (SHAGs)

SHAGs arrange social activities for members and friends, look after our international friendship links, arrange to welcome visitors to Wellington and generally do lovely things!
