Causes We Support
Our club organises various fundraising activities over the year. In 2021 we supported several projects that support women and children at particularly difficult or vulnerable times in their lives, including:
- STARS - a developing SI Wellington project to support children with learning difficulties
- Wellington Children's Hospital - 2021 donated $5,000 for hospital bed hoists
- International President’s Appeal 2021 - 2023 'Opening Doors to a Bright Future' www.soroptimistinternational.org/openingdoors/
- SISEAP Federation Project - Brilliant Futures Fund ( Project funding to Enable, Educate, Empower)
- Betty Loughhead Soroptimist Scholarship - second chance tertiary education
