About SI Wellington

Soroptimist International is a vibrant worldwide organisation that works to improve the lives of women and girls.  Our Wellington club is a friendly and dedicated group of women who are committed to local service, fundraising and advocacy for local and international causes.

SI Wellington was the first club of its kind in New Zealand - and we have been serving women and girls in our community since 1939.  We are a friendly club, with about 25 amazing members who recognise that, as women in New Zealand Aotearoa, we are in a uniquely privileged position to be able to work for a better future for all women.

As a club, we meet monthly to share a meal and to hear from various speakers on topics of interest to women and girls. We also organise several fundraising events during the year, to support various local and international causes, as well as participating in several awareness raising and advocacy activities. We also have a proud history of service.
